Origins of the Aprilia AF1

The Aprilia AF1 was first introduced in 1987 as a pure racing motorcycle. The bike was designed to compete in the 125cc World Championship, and it quickly became a dominant force in the series.   • In 1994, Italian rider Fausto Gresini won the 125cc World Championship riding an Aprilia AF1.
