10-Jan-02 - - Nice action shot. I am not a Honda or Yamaha fan per se, but why did Max leave the Honda tent and go to Yamaha? Honda's NSR's in 250 & especially 500cc versions have been dominate, (Some argue because Mick Doohan was at the controls) but I for one thought Biaggi leaving to go to Yamaha, was dumb from the get go. Insert Valentino Rossi, and he clobbers the competition. Applause to Aprilia, though for grooming both of those riders, and for being the giant slayer in 125 & 250cc's for many years.
10-Jan-02 - - easy, only for $$$$...and he knows that if you haven´t a HRC Honda, is too difficult to win the Championship..
12-Jan-02 - - he really wanted to be a factory rider. in 500 he wasnt a factory honda rider. even though he was doing better than he is doing with factory yamaha. There was a rumor that going to Yamaha was an advice given to him by Mick Doohan, because HRC Honda didnt want biaggi anyway. Biaggi still says that even with that non factory honda he was feeling much easier and better than hes with yamaha now. well its just another excuse for him.

If you are in need of aftermarket fairing kits for Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki or Yamaha then see the Extreme Fairings banner above.

More Information on the Honda NSR250

The Honda NSR250 and Honda RS250RW were race motorcycles manufactured by Honda Racing Corporation to race in the 250cc class of the Grand Prix motorcycle World Championship. Both names identified the factory specification bikes entrusted to works teams, while customer teams used the production racer Honda RS250R.

The first bike debuted in 1985 as Honda RS250RW, then from 1986 to 2002 the factory bikes were named NSR250. In 2003 the RS250RW name was resurrected until the demise of the 250 cc class.

The 250 cc class world championship was won 11 times by riders riding the Honda RS250RW and NSR250: Freddie Spencer (1985), Anton Mang (1987), Sito Pons (1988, 1989), Luca Cadalora (1991, 1992), Max Biaggi (1997), Daijiro Katoh (2001), Dani Pedrosa (2004, 2005) and Hiroshi Aoyama (2009).

Honda also mass-produced a road legal Honda NSR250R.
