05-Jun-02 martinchasse.sympatico.ca - it`s impossible to lock the front at 220...even with top notch superbike brakes...but if you say so...
05-Jun-02 MSanad.YAHOO.com - 220KPH that's like 120Mph.... dam...
06-Jun-02 firenspeed.aol.com - Why is it impossible to lock the front at that speed? If you're ham-handed enough, grab the brakes and don't let go, I don't see why not. Just to prove you wrong, I think I'll go try it! Be back in a minute.
06-Jun-02 shockeres.yahoo.com - don´t have to try it firenspeed...a mate of mine killed himself when his front locked at 210kph...air in blake liquid

I have never seen a tire do this. This is the after math of a burn out contest.

30-May-02 wrd2mva.hotmail.com - money to burn,,money to burn,,,,,, did the winner get asponsorship from Dunlop or a new set of tires at least
30-May-02 aaron332.yahoo.com - Have fun cleaning all that rubber off your bike
31-May-02 McSkinny.neo.rr.com - again, burn out contest??? why???
31-May-02 brent_derouen.suth.com - Burn out contest ????? why not have a tire licking contest or a hold your breath contest ???? how lame ©
03-Jun-02 bsdboy.nyarlathotep.dyndns.org - It's obviously a radial...
22-Jun-02 cbrvb.hotmail.com - Brent_derouen, a breath-holding contest might not be such a bad dea for poeple like this: Eventually, there will be less and less people torturing their bike like this-get it?
30-Mar-06 engstrom_97.hotmail.com - Yeah but you guys don't realize, it is there bike, there money if they want to do it go for it. It gets a rise out of the crowd and it makes them feel good. I think everyone has burned out a little with there bike, maybe not to this extent but untill you do don't bash on those that are putting there pics up!!

30-May-02 wrd2mva.hotmail.com - oh ok,,, answers my above question,,,,, i see why they went all out with this burnout
30-May-02 yamaha02yzfr1.CHARTER.NET - isn't that something on the front tire to hold the bike still?...........super squid?
30-May-02 blugnu.boxfrog.com - That thing in front is a Squid Box! You think these guys could sit on thier bike with both feet on the pegs burn-out like Chris Fisher? And what is up with those black round things? Please don't let them mirrors! Some contest! What do the losers get?
31-May-02 McSkinny.neo.rr.com - burn out contest??? why???
31-May-02 james_hurley_1.hotmail.com - I agree. I would be much more impressed with the burnout if he was not using the box... Burnouts do look cool. Burnouts are a show of raw power. Same with wheelies. If you see a car or a bike doing a burnout, or a wheelie, it shows a lot of power. But sitting on a box does not show anything... It's the same as a FWD car doing a burnout with the parking brake on...
31-May-02 jimtiberio.hotmail.com - How do you decide who wins? How do you get all he rub off of your bike??? DUMB!!!

30-May-02 wrd2mva.hotmail.com - so that 954 was demolished for NOTHING,,,,,, what a waste
30-May-02 rjoy.rochester.rr.com - For what reason??
30-May-02 dhibbard.staradio.com - The guy that owned the 954 could have cared less if he won or not. The tire that he used for the burn out contest was the second one that he roasted off for the day. By the time we left he was on his 3rd tire! He just likes the attention! Someone said he was sponsored but I'm not for sure about that.
22-Jun-02 cbrvb.hotmail.com - What's with the finger? Is he pointing out his IQ? Aside from the new tire, did he also get a new engine? He could certainly use one!

Dyno Days in Keokuk Iowa, aftermath of the burn out contest. I think there's still a little rubber left on the sides!

30-May-02 qbzonk.hotmail.com - That is just silly....to ruin a bike like that to do burnouts. I guess when you can't get to a track this is all you can do!
30-May-02 dhibbard.staradio.com - You are correct zonk, we don't have a track that is really that handy, so you learn to do other things with your bike that are just as much fun. Plus the track that is close charges $100 a day and you have to have a full set of gear and a lot of guys including myself can't afford track days.
30-May-02 sinister988.juno.com - "other things that are just as much fun"??????? Do you really think burnouts are just as much fun as a track day?
31-May-02 hakem2suzuka.hotmail.com - OK YOU WHANT TO BUT A NEW TIRE AND TELL TO YOUR SELF LETS TRY BURNOUT ??????????
31-May-02 biceps99.hotmail.com - What they do with their hard earned cash is their business yet, it doesn't make it any less pointless.
31-May-02 methodryder.yahoo.com - quit whining....let them destroy their bikes if they want to. If that's how they have fun with them. You know, I noticed something....why dont some of you complainers send us some pics of the "fun" things you do with your bikes....like pics of your middle aged, balding a**es polishing the plastics and lofting your bikes into race stands for pictures to trade on the net along with the newest exciting underground information on some type of motor oil. Maybe you could send us some pics of you whining while sitting on your polished little terds while pointing at guys doing wheelies in the backround. Maybe you could make a video and sell it...lilke a video about hating people who enjoy the use of their motorcycles. LOL.....you like track days, huh? You think track days is so much neater than doing burnouts, huh? Well good for you...get on the track, shut up and ride hard...i'll stay off your case when you trash a bike that way.
31-May-02 qbzonk.hotmail.com - Methodryder: You'll stay off my case when I don what any moron on two feet can do??? What type of talent does it take to do a burnout?? Please brother, as far as calling us whiners or haters or balding a**es, where's your pics?? I have posted several pics of my steed and track days. It takes talent to do stunts and to drag knee and hang in the twisties, any moron can do a burnout. Obviously you must be new to the sport. When people trash their bikes it shows a lack of consideration for their machines, I could care less if this guy wants to trash his bike, but if you post a pic of something this idiotic, people are gonna comment, and just because it's not the comment you want doesn't make it whining....its called maturity and maybe one day you'll grow up and see the light. You say get on the track and ride hard: what does riding have to do with burnouts??? You should think before you type. As for dhibbards post of no tracks nearby and no money for gear? if you can't afford gear, why do you have a bike? and then how can you afford new rubber for your ride after you do this???? Gimme a break!
31-May-02 smather1.rochester.rr.com - Can't afford a track day but can afford to burn up $100+ tires???
31-May-02 methodryder.yahoo.com - looks like you schooled me up real good, qbzonk....looks like you got yourself riled up in the process, you might wanna give your doctor a call and update the scripts on that heart medication before trying to tumble with the whipper snappers. By the way, while you lobbing on a coat to head out to another blisteringly cool track day where you can show up all the kids who cant ride as well as you, why dont you let me in on your secret to maturity. Is it makeing sure that you try to rip on as many people as possible? Or do you just pic on the ones that voice their opinions? Either was let me know because I could definately use some more maturity. Let me just end that one with this little shout out from me to you, qb..........
31-May-02 dhibbard.staradio.com - first of all this is not my bike, second of all my $170 tire will last me anywhere from 4000-5000 miles. A track day will last for 7 hours. I think I'll choose to spend my spare money on tires. Not only will the track day only last 7 hours it will also shred my tire and then not only will I be out the $100 for the track but I'll be out the $170 for the new tire I'll have to buy, plus since it was my first track day I will probably screw up and wreck my bike and then I'll have thousands of dollars of repairs to do. So lets do the math $3000 - $5000 for one track day or $170 for a new tire for 4000-5000 miles of riding. What sucks about this whole thing is I'm on both sides of things here. I would love to be able to spend my days on the track, but it's just not feesable. So the group of guys I ride with stunt their bikes. YOu make comments about how easy it is to stunt bikes and that shows that you can't do it. Stunting is not something that just anybody can do, it takes a lot of practice to be able to do these tricks and it's a completely different rush than corners. Stunting your bike has nothing to do with how mature you are, it has to do with what you desire to get from your bike. I think it's funny how every motorcycle magazine has a shot of bike up on one wheel on the cover of it, and then you read their reviews on the bike and all they talk about is how far and easy it is to wheelie the bike. But then they see someone do a wheelie and that person is a moron for tearing up their bike like that. It's like wheelies are everybody's secret desire, they just don't want to admit that they love them - they just can't do them. Don't they call that penis envy????? Ride safe guys anyway you want to ride! Webmaster: Standing burnouts are not stunting. Standing burnouts will not make you a better rider like track days will. You should buy gear no matter what type of riding you do. Your arguement has several weak spots... However, this is YOUR bike so you do what you feel is best.
31-May-02 jakebarritt929.yahoo.com - I ride trackdays, race in my local club every month and stunt whenever I am not at the track. So I have a perspective from both sides. Qbzonk, you dont know what you are talking about and shouldnt comment about how another rider should treat their bike. Its their bike, not yours. I personally think burnouts are fun as hell and bet qbzonk cant do a decent one.
31-May-02 WaynesNside.aol.com - Toast
01-Jun-02 methodryder.yahoo.com - by the way qbzonk, i noted your comment on my lack of uploaded pictures, so feel free to check out the pics, the site and make as many comments as you want as to how i treat my bikes.
30-Mar-06 gibsonking2000.yahoo.com - cant afford $100 on a track day?! hate to break it to you but $100 is pretty cheap. if you cant afford that then you dont need to be riding. it takes money to properly maintain a bike and if you cant take care of it, you dont need to be on it. and if you think you'll wreck the first time out then obviously you can't ride very well and dont trust yourself enough to not wreck. its called riding within your limits. but hey, do what you want. im just a hater anyways right? although it looks like youve banged that bike up more doing burnouts than most wrecks ive seen at teh track.
05-Apr-06 snackmakermike.hotmail.com - is that tank chrome? and is the exhaust tip pointing up?! what kind of paint job is that? hope you use "take-offs" for your burn-outs, new tires cost more than track days and don't last as long if you are doing this sort of thing. It's worth mentioning twice. Is the exhaust tip pointing UP!!! That's ghetto!
